It's not the airworthiness certification that's the problem. The Connie was certified under CAR-23 and then re-certified under 14 CFR 25 and has a Type Certificate that is current and in force for all models of the Constellation - A-763.All of the Connies that are or were flying under US Registrations used this Type Certificate. Also, if you look at the 530 installed on the Breitling Super Connie, it's housing is 50% larger than the original bump that was at that location. . The A2A Connie is my favorite propliner right now of any sim, but I'm confident to say that when the PMDG DC-6 is released some day in FSX/P3D, will be a gem knowing how good it is in X-Plane, perhaps even better than the Connie, how knows.
